Building the Legacy Together

July was a month of growth, pivots, new opportunities, and meaningful community connections for 4R Legacy Inc.

Every event, partnership, registration, donation, and conversation moved us one step closer to creating more opportunities for children and families throughout the DFW area. Our mission remains clear:

Restore. Rebuild. Rise. Reach.

We are building more than programs. We are creating safe spaces where young people can gain confidence, discover their talents, develop leadership skills, and receive the support they need to succeed.

July highlights

Dallas Wings Community Experience

Members of the 4R Legacy community attended a Dallas Wings basketball game at College Park Center.

The experience gave our children and families a chance to enjoy professional women's basketball, spend quality time together, and see talented women competing at the highest level.

We are grateful for the donated tickets that made this community experience possible.

Splash 4 Supplies Community Day

Our original Splash 4 Supplies event saw lower-than-expected advance registration, but we made the decision not to give up on the community. Instead, we pivoted.

We hosted a smaller, affordable community day at the splash pad for the families who showed up.

  • Free water and juice
  • Hot dogs, chips, and cookies
  • Coloring pages and sidewalk chalk
  • UNO and family-friendly table activities
  • Games and prizes
  • Information about 4R Legacy programs
  • Information about Legacy Reign Athletics
  • A backpack and school-supply giveaway

This event reminded us that success is not always about the largest crowd. Sometimes success looks like showing up, serving the families who are present, and using what you have to make a difference.

Backpack and School-Supply Giveaway

Through community support and available resources, 4R Legacy offered a limited number of backpacks and school supplies to local children.

Families registered for the giveaway, and backpacks were distributed through event raffles and direct community outreach.

Every backpack represented one less expense for a family preparing for the new school year.

4R Legacy Academy Enrollment

Enrollment continued for the upcoming launch of the 4R Legacy Academy, a tuition-free, 10-month youth development program for students in grades 1 through 12.

  • Leadership
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Financial literacy
  • Career exploration
  • Community service
  • Communication
  • Goal setting
  • Confidence and personal development

Students complete activities throughout the program, participate in service projects, and work toward a graduation celebration at the end of the Academy year. The program is tuition-free; a $75 registration fee helps cover materials, workbooks, administrative expenses, and student activities.

Introducing Legacy Reign Athletics

July marked the official introduction of Legacy Reign Athletics, the new competitive cheer program operating under 4R Legacy.

Legacy Reign was created to give athletes an opportunity to compete, build confidence, develop discipline, and become part of a supportive team environment. Our first season focuses on a strong foundation, team culture, athlete development, and an unforgettable experience for every family.

Legacy Reign's official colors are blue, purple, black, and gold.

Legacy Reign Uniform Development

This month we began developing Legacy Reign's official gear.

  • Performance uniform
  • Practice uniform
  • Performance bow
  • Practice bow
  • Team backpack
  • Varsity jacket
  • Additional athlete apparel

Parents will receive final uniform details, sizing information, package pricing, and payment deadlines as designs and vendor arrangements are finalized.

Community Partnerships and Outreach

Throughout July we continued reaching out to businesses, schools, financial institutions, daycare centers, and community organizations. We are actively seeking partnerships that can provide:

  • Youth workshops
  • Financial education
  • Career exposure
  • Business education
  • Mentorship
  • Banking resources
  • Scholarships
  • Event sponsorships
  • Program supplies
  • Volunteer support
  • Facility access

Strong communities are built through collaboration, and we are excited about the relationships being created.

Fundraising Opportunities

4R Legacy began recruiting adults for fundraising opportunities at concerts, sporting events, and Dallas Cowboys games. These opportunities let volunteers help raise money while supporting events throughout the DFW area.

  • Youth program expenses
  • Student scholarships
  • Cheer expenses
  • Community events
  • Supplies
  • Facility costs
  • Transportation assistance
  • Program development

Adults must meet the applicable event requirements, complete required training, and commit to the event schedule selected.

Coming in August

August is an important month for both 4R Legacy Academy and Legacy Reign Athletics.

Legacy Reign Registration

Registration remains open through August 31, 2026. Athletes do not have to complete an evaluation to join — every registered athlete is placed based on age, skill level, team needs, and available divisions.

Parents should complete registration as soon as possible so athletes receive important season information and can prepare for practice.

Legacy Reign Practice Begins

Practice begins August 24, 2026. Athletes and parents will receive information regarding:

  • Practice location
  • Practice days and times
  • Required attire
  • Attendance expectations
  • Athlete conduct
  • Parent expectations
  • Uniform fittings
  • Payment schedules
  • Competition preparation

Consistent attendance will be important as we begin building routines, evaluating skills, and developing team chemistry.

Fees, Tuition and Package Payments

The Legacy Reign registration fee is $85 per athlete. It covers initial administrative and athlete onboarding expenses and may include items such as the athlete handbook and practice bow, based on the finalized package.

Tuition is due on the 1st of each month. Late or missed payments may affect an athlete's eligibility to participate in practices, performances, competitions, uniform orders, or team activities.

Athlete package payments will be divided into scheduled installments, tentatively due September 1, October 1, November 1, and December 1. Final package amounts and included items will be shared once vendor pricing and competition expenses are confirmed.

Competition registration fees are separate from monthly tuition unless otherwise stated in the final athlete agreement. Once competition registration, uniforms, choreography, or other athlete-specific expenses have been committed or ordered, those costs may remain due even if an athlete later leaves the program.

4R Legacy Academy Launch

The Academy begins its 10-month program year in August. Registered families will receive information regarding:

  • Orientation
  • Program calendar
  • Meeting dates
  • Student workbooks
  • Parent expectations
  • Attendance
  • Volunteer opportunities
  • Special workshops
  • Community service projects

The Academy uses a hybrid model with scheduled in-person and virtual activities throughout the program year.

Nonprofit Leadership Summit

On August 29, 2026, 4R Legacy will participate in the Nonprofit Leadership Summit in Richardson.

  • Learn from nonprofit professionals
  • Strengthen organizational leadership
  • Build community relationships
  • Identify resources

A message from our founder

July taught us an important lesson: everything will not always go exactly as planned.

Sometimes registrations are lower than expected. Sometimes budgets change. Sometimes you have to adjust the entire plan at the last minute. But the mission does not stop because the plan changes.

We will continue showing up, learning, building, and doing everything we can to create opportunities for children and families. 4R Legacy is still growing, but we are proud of every step we have taken. We are grateful for every person who has donated, shared a post, attended an event, registered a child, volunteered, offered advice, or simply believed in our vision.

This is only the beginning. Together, we will continue to:

Restore what was lost. Rebuild what was broken. Rise beyond limitations. Reach back to help someone else.

Thank you for being part of the legacy.
